New Volunteers!

Updated: Jul 29, 2022

With our rebrand we have had many hands join us! We cannot be thankful enough to all of our volunteers who are not only helping us behind the scenes, but are truly making things matter in the lives of our Creatives

Please meet 3 or our newer volunteers who have been helping out with our fashion programs!

Alison recently revitalized our office space (as owner of Ripple Interiors) and joined us around winter of last year!

With results oriented marketing and brand management, she is a professional with over 35 years of retail experience. Alison is one of our facilitators for FashionAble and currently also on our Board of Directors.

Her favorite quote is "Life gets in the way of your plans by Oprah Winfrey", and is staying focused on her lifework and giving selfless service to others.

Marcy began volunteering with aZul in April working as an Assistant Fashion Design Teacher! She and her husband recently moved down to Florida in January. After raising their 3 beautiful children on Long Island in NY they decided that they wanted a better quality of life and to enjoy the next chapter of their lives.

Marcy has a degree in Early Childhood Education with a specialty in Special Education, spent 5 years as a Personal Care Aide, and the past 27 years in the memorial trade as a memorial designer.

Zakiya recently connected with us and we are excited to welcome her in to our team! She is a multi-disciplinary artist and teacher of Afro-Jamaican ancestry who believes in nurturing the innate source of love within all [human] beings.

She has an MFA in Acting, and is grateful to connect with the current dwellers of this community through the profundity of art. She is also very excited about the relationship she is nurturing with aZul.
