Zakiya Iman Markland

Volunteer, Outreach Coordinator

Zakiya (she/her) connected with aZul in 2021 after relocating to South Florida. She is a multi-disciplinary artist and teacher of Afro-Jamaican ancestry who believes in nurturing the innate source of love within all [human] beings.

She joins aZul looking to focus on outreach, networking and connecting with organizations, but she also dabbles in painting, sewing and graphic design.

Zakiya holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) Degree in Acting from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). She is grateful to connect with the current dwellers of this community through the profundity of art, and is very excited about the relationship she is nurturing with aZul. Let's build!
