2071 - REDESIGNED FUTURE TRENDS

Sustainable Fashion Designer | Devin Nassar-Reis and Liz Nassar

Devin and her mother/Collaborator Liz joined us for our 2019 Fall Season of Follow The Thread. Their collection was first showcased at our completion ceremony in January 2020. Her brand "2071- Redesigned Future Trends" is inspired by pop art re-imagined with a futuristic twist.

A college student with a passion for fashion, Devin's multiple disabilities do not discourage her from following her dreams. She is inspired by many artists, such as Amy Lee and Olga Pekarevskaia, and the history behind their collections and life. Her bright and inquisitive mind gives her a great drive for knowledge, especially with fashion and sustainability, and sharing her thoughts as a representative of the disabilities community. Currently she is completing a Bachelor's Degree at FAU for Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Journalism. Her work has been published in Avessa Magazine.

The Follow The Thread program is a WONDERFUL class for anyone with a passion for design. As a teen, I discovered my passion through a hobby of mine. From there, I decided I wanted to become a designer. Follow The Thread has allowed me to follow my passion and turn it into a business. Through this, I can do what I love and follow my dreams. Definitely, this program is perfect for anyone with a passion for design and wants to turn it into a business!

Follow The Thread is an amazing fashion design program that provided the tools for my daughter to take her passion for fashion to the next level! Sandra Raffaelli and Jeanette Vanderhorst lead by example, positively influencing and developing creative thinking and execution skills in design and necessary skills in business.
