Included in the series is:

Feb. 2nd

Botanical Printmaking- we will create beautiful prints using a gelli plate and various plants.

Rolling the paint unto the gelli plate then laying down the plants and pulling the prints.

Feb. 9th

Larger than Life Flowers Collage – we will create a flower collage by cutting and tearing papers.

Cutting and tearing papers to create different sizes and edges then arranging them into flower shapes.

Feb. 16th

Watercolor mixed media abstracts- we will create a large abstract mixed media painting starting with bold strokes of watercolor and adding textures and shapes with acrylic paint and stamp printing.

Feb. 23rd

Reuse n recycle assemblage – using found and recycle objects to create a patterned design. Using similar/like shapes and colors we will arrange them into a patterned design.

The February ArtAbilities series of classes will be under the direction of Jerilyn Brown, a renowned painter and art educator. Brown’s extensive exhibition history includes both solo and group shows, as well as participation in state and national competitions. She was awarded the Florida Art Education Association Secondary Art Educator of the Year Award in 2022. Brown continually pushes and explores mediums and subject matter in her work.
